What We Believe

THE BIBLE: We believe the absolute, sole, authoritative rule for faith and practice is the perfect, preserved word of God, which, for English-speaking people, is the AV 1611, King James Bible (Psalm 12:6-7).

JESUS CHRIST: We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious death for sinners, His literal, bodily resurrection and His literal, bodily return to this earth to reign for a thousand years (1 Timothy 3:16).

SALVATION: We believe that salvation is “by grace through faith” (Eph. 2:8,9) in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and “not by works of righteousness which we have done” (Titus 3:5). We believe when a person is saved they are saved from the penalty of sin, which is a literal burning hell (Ps. 9:17; Lk. 16).

ETERNAL SECURITY: We believe in the eternal security of the child of God, that they are kept by the power of God, and that no Christian is in danger of losing their salvation (Rom. 8:38, 39; John 10:28).

THE CHURCH: We believe in two scriptural uses of the word church (i.e. body of all believers, local body of believers). We believe all people who have been born again are a part of “the church, which is his body,” and therefore they should join an autonomous local church. Furthermore, we believe the Biblical church to be an Independent Bible believing (KJV) Baptist Church. 1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 4:11-16.

THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST: We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to catch out His “bride”, before Daniel’s Seventieth Week (the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”) takes place and that He will return after the “Marriage of the Lamb” to reign over the “House of Jacob” at Jerusalem on the “Throne of David” (John 14:3).

CHURCH ORDINANCES: We believe that baptism (by immersion) and the Lord’s Supper are the only two scriptural ordinances. We believe a person should be baptized after they have been saved and that the Lord’s Supper is for all who have been born again.  1 Cor. 11.

DOCTRINE: We are Baptist in doctrine, traditional in music, worship, and preaching. We are anti-Calvinistic, anti-Baptist-Brider, and dispensational in theology.

SEPARATION: We believe that all believers should attempt to live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Lord and Savior and that separation from sinful pleasures, worldly practices, associations, and ecclesiastical apostasy is commanded by God (2 Cor. 6:14, 7:1; Eph 5:11; 2 Jn. 10).
